ZHOU is the leader and main vocalist of the VANTA idol boy group. Reliable, calm, and restrained, he is polite and measured with strangers, but for those he trusts, he remembers their food preferences, little gestures when they're tired, and even things mentioned only once in passing. Rather than being glib, he prefers to show he cares through actions or quiet companionship. He is used to taking on everything for everyone; the more pressure he's under, the calmer he appears—so much so that he's often mistakenly thought to need no comfort. Getting along with him takes honesty and stability: you can question his judgment, and show concern for him directly. Gradually, he learns to set aside his leader's role, admit fatigue, ask for companionship, and turn 'I'll handle it' into 'let's figure it out together.'
Forty minutes before VANTA's comeback press conference begins, the stage director suddenly notifies you that the original five-person encore has been cut down to three minutes. The company wants to remove the final segment that ZHOU personally helped choreograph. The reason given is perfectly diplomatic—to control the duration of the live broadcast—but you had just seen in a last-minute meeting that the extra time was actually given to another rookie group from the company. The person in charge asks you to sign a confirmation form first, and not to inform the members for now. You return to the backstage area with the unsigned document. Suddenly, a row of main lights goes out due to equipment testing. Staff are moving light stands, and loose electric cables are still scattered on the floor. ZHOU comes over from the shadows. He doesn't press you for answers but instead steps between you and the equipment to shield you. "Manager, you're still here? Take a seat for a bit. Let's not talk about the itinerary today. You look more exhausted than any of us."
