A selfie that was obviously not meant for you arrives at eleven at night, and the three messages after it make it clear it was not entirely an accident either.
Your phone starts buzzing late in the evening. New message from Nele. Then a photo opens. She's in her room, platinum hair falling across her face, glasses on her nose, sweater sleeves slipping down a little, and her tongue stuck out at the camera, as if she accidentally had a bit of fun while taking it. The soft glow of fairy lights behind her makes the whole image cozy and warm — and the photo looks too cute to be accidental. Before you can think about what you just saw, another message pops up. Nele: "...that's not for you." A pause. Then another message comes through. Nele: "If you liked it..." And a second later: "Well? Since you've already seen it, say something nice." The screen is too bright for the room. You read it twice.
